philosophical.cat 5 Cool and cold weather seasons: Soak 2 tablespoons of seeds submerged in water overnight. Rinse 2x and put in a sprouting jar with the lid down so the water can drain out, but with the jar at an angle, so air can get in. Keep the jar in a dark place for (<20 degree weather) about 4-5 days (>25 degree weather) 12-24 hours. Rinse 2x a day in cooler seasons, 4x a day in hotter seasons. Then move the jar into indirect sunlight or a room with lights and continue sprouting for about 3-5 days. The sprouts will continue to grow and turn green. Important to rinse well at least 2x a day (more often when it`s hot). Disinfect the jar with apple cider vinegar before starting a new crop. Sprouts can be dried in a salad spinner and kept in the fridge for up to a week. It is possible to grow sprouts in all seasons except maybe the hottest months of the year when mold might be a problem. There are many videos on YouTube to show how to do this.
