Jaimie Tani 5 I purchased #20, which is a good size for cookies that are neither too big nor small. Perhaps not as big as the standard American cookie, but for Japan, it's an appropriate size. The scoop itself feels quite sturdy and can handle cookie dough that has been refrigerated until it has gotten quite hard, but the spring mechanism does get stuck sometimes. Not often enough to be an issue, and it fixes itself after a little bit of playing with the lever/handle. It also washes up very easily, at least when washed by hand.
